Nothing To Lose, But Everything To Gain

Sep 20, 2011 23:14

If you ignore the weather heading back into the triple digits and the fact that I'm pretty sure I bombed my Ag Business exam today, things have been peachy lately :D Aaaand of course there's the fact that it's one of my favorite weeks of the year -- premiere week!

I'll skip fangirling over Hawaii Five-0, since most of my flist pretty well covered it last night. I will say that I was pleased with the way they mixed the action with the twistsy turns and humor, and that Masi might be my new favorite supporting actor. Especially after that line about trading in his fossil collection for a down payment on a 'Maro of his own XD

Oh Ryan Murphy, you may be getting it right again.
First off, a shout out for one of the Glee Project kids on tonight's episode. Yep, Lindsey Pearce, I'm lookin at you. Maybe not my favorite, but I'm so glad to see little ol' Modesto CA getting some love in Hollywood.
Second, thoughts on Blaine transferring to McKinley? Anyone?
Third, I appreciate the fact that they're getting Quinn out of her (almost-)perfect little bubble and trying to get her to do her own thing. That hair, girl. Awesome.
Have to admit I was a little disappointed in the swept-under-the-rug way they handled the Sam/Mercedes thing though; I really would have liked to see how that dynamic played out, even for just an ep or two.

I really can't wait to see how this season plays out. I'm uber excited for Damian (the new foreign exchange student Rory). Seriously, he is so cute I don't even know how he's real. And is it just me, or should they maybe try out a little bit of country this season? Seriously, I think TPTB would be doing the world a favor if they let Mark/Puck do something with a bit of twang. Pretty sure he would absolutely kill it with something by Jason Aldean, though I could be a little biased :P

ETA: Here, just watch this. I don't know about anywhere else, but around here they played this on both the country and pop stations, so it would at least be common enough to work on the show. This track isn't my first pick for Mark's style, but since TPTB do seem to have Puck serenade girls often enough, I'm sure they could work it in the storyline.
