he/she might not remember your face *cuz its all grey and blurryish* but he/she wont forget your smell- all humans smell different- and your smell will trigger memories
and they cant really hear... they hear tones and pitches- not words... havent u seen the rugrats??? spike hears like "waaa waaa waaa spike waaa waa" lol

All animals imprint to a certain degree, so if your dog imprinted on you at a young enough age you could be "remembered" and dogs definitely interact with the world through smells, so your scent could be stored in your dogs memory. But that being said, I think without frequent exposure to something or someone a dog could forget, but you really can't put our criteria for memory on a dog, their brains work very different. It is hard to say, I wish I could give you a more definite answer. I've never heard anything really for sure or concrete either way. But I think your dog would probably remember you, animals do have that capacity.
