I find it sort of amusing that you'd fit in with the crew of a show that you rarely ever watched. At least you didn't get Stargate!

I used to watch religiously although I don't remember it all that well. I do remember a large gnomic creature that looked a bit like a little plastic pariscope supported on top of football shoulder pads surrounded by a shower curtain.

I love the word gnomic and am using it just to be a word snob:

Gnomic (MSN Encarta):

1. epigrammatic: resembling or containing proverbs or other short pithy sayings that express basic truths
His gnomic utterances were widely quoted by journalists.

2. cryptic: opaque or difficult to understand

Before I read your definition of "gnomic", I thought you meant "gnome-like".

And not only do you like using it, you embody it (see 1).

I looked up the sesquipedalian word....given to using long or multisyllabic words. And here I though Gnomic was quite compact.
