What a game last night. Not so great to lose the first game of the series, but I still enjoyed being there and watching it unfold. We outhit the Phils, but they outscored us and the number of walks issued is a clear reminder how they can hurt you in a crucial situation when making strikes and getting outs is important.

The highlight of the game?

Oh yes, very intense! Lots of thrills.

Believe it or not, that was the very first foul ball I ever retrieved. As soon as it came off the bat and started arcing upwards into the Reserve Deck I had a good bead on it as I tracked it into the section I was in. I was lucky that the people sitting to the right of me got up and left, (I think they were frustrated watching the team trailing). I scooted to the right and watched it bounce off the fans in the row in front of me, then the people to my right knocked it down in front of me. The folks sitting in those seats were standing up and not making much of an attempt to stay with the ball. I just reached down with my right hand as it hit the vacant seat before it fell to the floor and out of my grasp.

I'm happy I made a great snag, but it would have been even better if I caught it in midair, lol. Ah well, a souvenir foul ball is still a souvenir foul ball!
