all i've been thinking about is my mini vacation to vegas lately. I need this break so much. in the last 2 weeks i've had 2 nervous breakdowns. My stress level is so high i literally can feel my blood pressure rise. Today was no different. aside from the hellacious day at work which i spent 6 hours trying to ship 2 pallets of bags from New York

Not sure how laws work over there but if you can't get ahold of your landlord to make essential repairs, you can make the repairs yourself and then deduct them from your rent.

We just put in a new water heater in my new apartment and it ran about $500. Your dad could probably install it, right? And write him off as $150 labor.

yeah, i spent a good 30 minutes with my dad on the phone last night having him teach my roommate how to turn the gas shut off valve on the water heater. Our landlord finally called us this morning and said he'd have it replaced this weekend. Nick's brother in law is over there right now pumping out the basement, and the landlord told us to deduct that from our rent.

i just feel bad because he didn't say whether it was saturday or sunday and poor Danielle is gonna be at the house all by herself this weekend while we're in Vegas.
