You guys will all be happy to know that I lost 5 pounds last week and am finally beginning to look the way I want to look! Yay! My stomach is actually getting flat (not flat enough but it's not pertruding out anymore which is stellar. My arms are beginning to look more toned too. I'm pretty sure this has everything to do with my new fitness routine ( Read more... )

Congratulations, Ryan! Not many people have the willpower to do what you're doing. Oh, and being a thin gay boy is not something to which you should aspire. I'm 6'3" and 155lbs... :-/

Thanks man!! It's true, willpower is something that is very difficult to have or to keep. I know because I've never had the will power to do this before. The reason I got it now is that I'm finally sick of feeling gross and hating my body. And, I needed some renewed self-confidence about my attractiveness so that I can be confident enough to talk to guys. For some reason, though I have so many other positive qualities, my body has always gotten me down. Now that it's starting to improve, I'm a lot happier. I was a thin gay boy once; when I was a senior in high school I was 6'3" and 155 just like you! Somehow, when I went to college though I gained tons of weight. It was a combination of antidepressant side effects, working out and eating a lot! The reason I sometimes wish I still was that way is that gay guys seem to love the thin gay boy and don't really like the huskier, sports guy...it's distressing.

awesome routine - congratulations on your perserverence. some days it'll be hard to go to the gym, other days it'll be a breeze - but i'm sure you'll find if u haven't already, the more u stick to your program the easier it gets.

wow dude, you're tall! you'd beat me at basketball, altho i'd be faster :-)

hehe, you'd be faster, eh? Well, I'd block you at the hoop better...and get more rebounds:-) How tall are you? Thanks for the congrats man. It's not like working out is new to me (I've been doing it off and on since freshman year in college) but this intensity is new for me. So far it hasn't been totally hard for me to get to the gym...it really makes me feel good mentally and there's nothing better than looking at yourself in the mirror after a workout and going, "Damn, I look good." What's your workout routine?

i am 6' tall, 172 lbs. of muscle ;-0

i work out at my gym 3-4 days/week. i also work different body parts each session, do some abs, and always run 2-3 miles. i also run on the street a couple days a week, in addition, and shoot hoops.

Nice dude. Sounds like a hot figure!;-) Great workout regimen too. I was shooting hoops in the fall but kinda lost time and interest. Question: Why are you in LA instead of being in the Bay Area??? All the hot, chill guys are there not here. Damn...lol.

How da hell am I supposed to eat breakfast when I start work at 8-freakin-am each morning?! :-P

Ryan, could you ask your nutritionist something on my behalf: as a guy who's about 5'11", what would be my ideal weight range? (BMI?)

And on a completely unrelated note, I'm hoping I'll find a boyfriend who is approximately the same height (give or take) as me, because I've been told by gay dudes that it's easier to 69 with a boyfriend when he's the same height as you. ;-)

hehehehe. Ok, I actually didn't need to ask the nutritionist about this because I have the all the info I need to figure it out myself. Your ideal weight range to be in the "normal" category would be 130-175lbs. Now, if you have a lot of muscle, you could be above the 175 and still be ok.

And that unrelated note, that definitely is WAY unrelated! hehehe. But, it's cool. I've slept with guys who are as tall as me and quite a bit shorter and I've had fun with each of them....for some reason height isn't an impediment in the bedroom. Not sure why. But I mean, my dad is 6'6" and my mom is 5'4" and though I don't want to think about this, they must have figured it out.

But isn't it easier to 69 with a guy who is closer to your own height?
