Wow, now we see the true GOP agenda!

Aug 31, 2004 22:47

So here's a new article in the New York Times. Finally we have some Republicans admitting that there is TOO MUCH separation of church and state! The Kerry campaign should seize on this and make it front page news. But of course, they're pretty inept and won't do it.

Here's the article copy and pasted )

Oh yeah, I know! I read that too! It's really just sad. People just can't seem to understand that the only way they have the liberty to believe what they believe is because of the separation of church and state. And they don't know history: people came here because of religious persecution and because the state was dictating religion....people who don't know history are doomed to repeat it.

What a minute?...STEPHEN BALDWIN??? As in, one of the four liberal Baldwin brothers of Hollywood?

Isn't he a die-hard Democrat?

Actually, I guess Stephen Baldwin is a "born-again Christian" and so is actively Republican...I'm sure he doesn't get invited to family gatherings any longer...hehe.

I think the only voters who are going to be influenced by Brownback and his ilk are those voters who would never consider voting for Kerry in the first place.

BTW, hope you got my email.

True true. Yeah, I did get your email. Sorry I haven't gotten back to you about it yet. I think it merits a serious response and I'm in the midst of moving so I haven't been able to sit down yet and write one, but I WILL:-D

"A recurring theme of the film is that Mr. Bush's opponents dislike him mainly because of his forthright faith."

Boy am I out of step. I dislike him because he is an arrogant bigot, an hypocritical Christian, an ignorant jerk who can't speak English, even American English. The man would fuck a rattlesnake for a vote, and bribe a Supreme Court Justice to get elected.
