hey! It's really been a while. Have fun in Europe and lemme think about Europe advice for a bit and I'll get back to you. You'll have so much fun on my birth continent, I know it. Perhaps I'll get to see you at some point. I enjoyed hanging out with you this summer. I'm not going to update you much on my life. My LJ gets update frequently enough.
Have fun again. I'm so jealous.
PS. Be aware that winter in Europe is more like a Illinois winter than California winter. Don't wanna freeze your nuts off by disregarding this little tidbit. :)

Hey!
I'm so glad you wrote! I really need to be filled in on your life. I just went through about a weeks worth of LJ posts and I saw that you have a boyfriend now. That's AWESOME! Congrats!! I look forward to hearing about it! Yes, get back to me about Europe advice. Unfortunately, I don't think I'm going to make it to Croatia:-( Well, I'll have to do it some other time I guess. Call me tomorrow or just email me:-) Oh, and I definitely know that European winters are cold! Why am I leaving Cali for this? lol.

Ok, will do. Next week's finals week so I'll definitely find time to procrastinate.=) And no worries about Croatia. It's definitely not worth going there this time of year. Summer and the Adriatic on the other hand...

One of the things I've just learned from the unfortunate Bush reelection is that people admire and respect people who are sure of themselves.

Well then....

Blanche Lincoln 2008!

Let's email soon, Ryan! *hugs*

Blanche Lincoln? Hmmm....I think she's probably way too conservative for me. And isn't she up for reelection in 2006? Who's to say she'll win...I mean, Arkansas is pretty red. Anyway, yes, let's email:-) Have a great day Tony.

The Democrats have been saying they'll need to pick a candidate who's more moderate and to the right of Kerry, and preferably someone from the South. I'd rather see it be Blanche than Hillary.

Lincoln was reelected to her Senate seat this past year by a healthy margin. She's pretty popular statewide, which means she could probably carry some red states plus all the blue states. There is also a lack of Southern Democratic governors right now, so they may have to look to the U.S. Senate for presidential leadership.

Electorally, I think a Lincoln/Richardson ticket would be a real winner.

Personally, on issues like gay marriage, Lincoln isn't nearly as liberal as I'd prefer...but then, neither was Kerry. I'm just psyched that you'd actually KNOWN who Blanche Lincoln is, to begin with! (most people don't, and they haven't even been thinking that far ahead)

Do you have a favorite candidate yet?

Hey Tony,
You need to go to www.mydd.com and read the recent post about the relignment that has gone on in the south in recent years. Basically, it discusses how the "red" states of the South aren't going to vote for a southerner just because he/she is a southerner, they're going to vote for the conservative and the conservative party. So, even if Lincoln was nominated, she isn't a conservative and would have a hard time picking up ANY red states. Definitely go to mydd.com and check it out. Honestly, I get all my daily political news from that sight. It's great!

Oh, and I'm a political junkie so I know most of the senators (not congressman though)...I actually used to know all of them!:-)

*grins* sounds like things are falling into place for you, bud. Glad to hear you upbeat and happy :)

So envious of your romp in Europe! Be sure to take lots of pictures! Who cares if you look like a tourist. They'll be treasured memories that can bring you back to that place and have you smiling. And if you get rude people, you can always lie and say you're Canadian. *smirks*

Thanks for the grin buddy:-) Yeah, things are starting to come into place...still lots of room to grow though. And, I was really jealous of your European vacation too! So, now I guess we're even!:-) Hehehe, I will definitely say I'm Canadian...or, I'll just say I hate Bush which is true so :-)
