Yesterday Pumpkin died. I wasn't even there for him in his last days. I can hardly stop crying and I slept terribly last night and had really bad dreams. He was the sweetest kitty in the whole world and I can't believe he could possibly be gone. I was hysterical last night. My Italian roommates probably think I'm a few crayons short of a box now,

amanda, i am so sorry to hear about pumpkin! i only met him a few times, due to his shyness around people, but i remember him because i love big cats, and he was definitely a cute one. i have lost several cats myself, and even a few hermit crabs, all of which were special to me. i am glad that your family gave pumpkin a respectful burial, and i hope that he is indeed up in heaven with catnip and food and infinite ear scratching. just hang onto that thought, even if you doubt that there is a heaven, because it's happy and uncomplicated and might help you sleep better at night. maybe one of these nights he will come visit you in your dreams and tell you he is okay. one of my cats did that once after he died, and it helped a lot. :]

Im so sorry to hear that. He is with Fergus now though... causing mischief. I dont know what more to say other than Im very very sorry and I know how aweful it feels to lose a friend like that when you are away at school. Even if I did know what to say, I know it wouldnt help anyway. Take care.

Oh my God. I'm very sorry to hear this. I remember hearing tales of Pumpkin. Many sympathies to you from the very deepest parts of my heart.

*Huggles* I'm so sorry to hear. He was such a nice kitty and will be muchly missed. I remember when we lost our dog, I was crying through most of school. It's hard, but at least you know he's through whatever suffering he was in (if any).
