Mesohippus, precisely: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mesohippus as viewed through the eyes of a teenage girl. Just because a character is ignorant doesn't mean the author is. And as far as the book is concerned: you might not have 'got it' but a lot of people did. So what does that mean?

It means that I'm not your target audience, and that's perfectly normal. :) I'm sure every writer wants to appeal to as many people as possible, but every audience member has their own likes and dislikes, and even the most perfect book in the world will still be disliked by someone for some reason. Ah, such is the way of art ( ... )

Just what I was thinking! Characters don't reflect their author.
This book sounds very interesting-it's been a while since I read time travel fiction (although I've been searching for Kindred for a while) and I wouldn't mind checking this out-anything I should know about it?

My review sums up my problems, but I know people who've enjoyed the book. To each his own. You may want to check out reviews on Amazon if you aren't sure about it, though.

I haven't heard of this being made available as an e-book, but you can always check on Amazon.com or Neil Asher's site. But if it's not available, you can always try your local library or a used-bookstore site (abebooks.com) if you don't want to purchase it brand-new.

Unfortunately, I don't think this is available via e-book. I would visit the author's site if I were you, maybe him if there's a way for you to get it in the format you need?
