For the NON limited edition, list price is $25.00. Which isn't HORRIBLE if you don't mind paying regular hardback prices for a book that's around 200 pages.

And to be fair, the author does get to keep a larger chunk of proceeds when they publish with Subterranean, but use your judgment. I only get these editions of authors I love anyway, you know?

Yeah, I'm ridiculously thrilled with the new cover. The other was just SO DARN BORING!!!

Like TJ, I skipped the majority of the review section...at least until I read it. I own Boneshaker, but haven't read it yet. However, I specifically bought it based on your review. :) I definitely need to read me some Cherie Priest. Several rave reviews of her work have surfaced. :)

I looked Clementine last night and realized it was the sequel to Boneshaker! I definitely need to get on the ball and get reading! BTW...why is this only available in hardback when Boneshaker and Dreadnought are both in paperback?!

Different publishers is all. Priest does work with both Tor and Subterranean Press, and Clementine is published through the latter.

The Clockwork Century books are entertaining, but I'm still in love with her Eden Moore trilogy, which starts with Four and Twenty Blackbirds.

You know, I'd never heard of Cherie Priest until someone mentioned her somewhere on LJ about two months ago... I've had Boneshaker on hold ever since (it's sloooow). What, in your opinion, are her best books?

My absolute favorites, and this may be bias since they were my first books by her and the setting is in Chattanooga, TN, which is a scant two hours from where I live, is the Eden Moore trilogy.

Four and Twenty Blackbirds
Wings of the Kingdom
Not Flesh Nor Feathers

I love these books. If I didn't have so much else to read, I'd re-read them every October (they make for good Halloween reading. Don't know why).
