Boy does time fly! Thirty years ago I was waiting for you to be born. You were a day early. My mother arrived in Austin the afternoon you were born. She hoped to be there for the birth. But Aug 5th was not to be your birthday.

You did not breathe right away and the doctors were afraid you may have brain damage. Time has proofed you do not! Woner what abilities you would have had if you breathe sooner? I am so glad I forced your Dad to have another child. You and Amy are my greatest achievements!

We may not agree on many issues. It does not bother me as my father and I had many heated discussions. What makes me proud is how you come to your beliefs. To me you have made the world a better place to live. You have more than met my hopes and dreams and expectations. Because of you I know I have made the world a better place.
