I go through this with mine any time I get really busy with work and don't pay as much attention to them. Add the fact that she's an only dog. My dachshund acts out if I don't pay enough attention to her. Rest of the time it's fine. It's like my cue to make more time for cuddling, grooming, etc.
Hope that helps. sounds like it might be what's up this week?
Gosh I hope so - because I am at my wit's end with my puppy (granted she is 6 years old). I give her as much of my time as I can but I am starting to think that it is not enough. She is an attention ho. I have only had her for one year and this is recent behavior.
mine are total attention whores. Having 3 of them is not enough- they want MY attention. Just keep emphasizing the positive and paying attention to her and hopefully she'll reach out in appreciation with good behavior.
My sheltie has started hiding under my guest room bed 24-7 and actually GROWLED at me today when I tried to pull her out. It's been a busy 3 weeks of work with meetings scheduled during lunch (when I usually go home to see them) and now all kinds of bizarre behavior is surfacing. Ah the joys of parenthood!
