After watching the Tony Awards, I'm starting to really understand why people hate musical theater and Broadway so much. That award show is just an embarressment. The performances are supposed to be exciting, but the Chorus Line opening was just bad. I was actually surprised about Bill T. Jones' win. I thought that Mary Poppins would win. I'm not saying it should have won, but the choreography seemed more technical and fancy looking, the type of stuff Tony voters usually go for. And Company winning best revival. What? I was sure 110 In Shade or A Chorus Line would have won. Why didn't Sweeney win? That was the one John Doyle production that should have won.

I like how Fantasia ran off the stage after singing her song and the reaction of Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel. That was a great moment.
