It's difficult to get in the mindset that it's summer what with the, you know, torrential downpour of hail we had yesterday afternoon. It feel so hard and thick, it looked as if there was a layer of snow on the ground. A lot of people might not think anything of this, but we don't get snow in my little pocket of Northern California (if we do, it ( Read more... )

YAY, I'm so glad you liked it! It took me forever to put this together, but I think it was worth it in the end. :)

THE FLU IS PERFECT, ELYSSA. Flawless taste. When I think about it, it's probably my favorite episode as well. It might be the episode that made me turn full on crazy in love with this show to the point of obsessiveness. Yes. Amy needs to write another episode next season, preferably another one that stresses how awesome the friendship of Leslie/Ann is, because she totally gets these characters and how much they mean to each other.

I have so much love for this show and your picspams (your colours are just perfection). I'm not surprised to see how many season 3 episodes are include because this season has been glorious. I really hope they gets lots of nominations this year - they deserve all the awards.

On to another note, I think I'm the only person enjoying Doctor Who this season.

Aww, thank you! Not going to lie, if I could include more episodes from season three, I would (particularly "Soulmates," "Jerry's Painting," and "The Bubble"). It's just so hard to narrow it down to my absolute favorites. There really wasn't a single bad episode this past season. I was a little frustrated over the fact that we got a shortened season, but on the other hand, if the shortness of it helped weed out the filler episodes, I'm all for it. If this show isn't nominated for loads of awards, there is something not right in the world. This is one of the most consistently good seasons of television I've ever watched.

On to another note, I think I'm the only person enjoying Doctor Who this season. You're not alone! I know a couple of people at least that are loving it. Though, I'm not outright hating it. I'm just not pleased with the direction that Amy's storyline is going in with the gross undertones that it has and I feel like, if this is her last series as a companion, she deserves better than being replaced by a doppelganger ( ... )

Even though it was a shortened season, like you said, it was tightly woven and extremely well executed. I think this boasted their survival and helped them find a rhythm. I completely agree, it was consistently good - a rare element in television series whereby lots of shows are inflicted with at least one or two below the par episodes. I want Lee Pace to guest star, with no other reason besides I miss his face and I think it would be wonderful to see him back on the television screens.

The incubator storyline is icky - all shades of wrong and I'm surprised that they have taken this direction. I do have to say that Matt's performances this year have been fantastic. 'The Doctor's Wife' was beautiful, it is up with 'Vincent and The Doctor' for me. I do hope that Amy and Rory have a positive sendoff, I detest how they ruined Donna's adventure.

This is a perfect post and you should be proud of its perfectness.

(I couldn't agree with your thoughts on Fancy Party more. In fact, I'm pretty sure I wrote a tag that was like identical to that way back in the day because it should've been a fake-out and it wasn't rational and my mind was just blanking over how crazy this show is for going there and yet. And yet it's perfect and they haven't come close to making their marriage obnoxious or random. It just... is. I love it.)

Thank you, dear!

YES, EXACTLY. There are so many ways they could have gone so wrong with Andy and April - like, ridiculously easy ways - and yet, I have yet to complain about the way they've been presented post-marriage thus far. If anything, I've enjoyed watching their relationship more beyond the build-up to them getting together. This relationship has been handled so marvelously and I couldn't love them any more if I tried.
