Ah, yes, I hate that crap! Here is a solution if you remember to do it, after typing your message and before pressing Post Comment, press CTRL-A and then CTRL-C. That will select all the text, and copy it into memory. Now if the message disappears, you can you start another post and press CTRL-V to paste it all back in :)
