It's good to hear that you've got the wind back in your sails .. these challenges bring out the resiliency in us .. that's a good thing sometimes.

You and me both. It'll take a lot to get either one of us. Of course, as I remember, you're from the east and they're always tough as nails

Hi there. I threw out some wildflower seeds too although it is in a shady place and I don't know what the results will be.

As for Abou, This thing will Saidi's mother is what it is. We will have to see what happens and I just don't have the money left for it. Certainly has been an education for me as a westerner. I was talking with someone in world health who said on her Ph.D. tests, if you didn't know the answer to where a disease came form, you just put in "Sub-saharan Africa," and it was usually right. God's own little acre of hell on earth.

Hello my dear.

Smashes it actually last summer. Doing better but no longer can kneel at all, there isn't anything really left to knee on other than wires that are roping the remaining 2 parts together. But -- we keep going because we have no other choice, right?

I can't really kneel either because of arthritis but I've found lots of garden things to do that don't require kneeling. A low stool can help if you can sit on it and use long handled garden tools also.
:)

Lots of very large container gardening is also fun...and easier on the body.

I would be very slow to give more money. You can't give what you don't have and while it's sad, you really should be practical.

Yeah, I've reached the point of practical. And if you don't have it, you don't have it.

The small stool looks good to me too as does more container plants. But I've got my eye on cleaning up an area where the grasses are tall and the wild fig trees are growing. The trees can stay but I think bit by bit the grasses are going to go.

How does bending work for you? I can kneel, briefly, but it is not a good thing on my knees so I avoid it whenever I can. The getting down and up again is almost impossible, and for any length of time, ditto ( ... )

Hi there. Thanks for asking. The left knee is impossible to kneel on. There's nothing there basically to absorbed any pressure even something pillowy. I can kneel down on the right knee, but it's awkward getting down there. On the other hand, my upper extremity strength has increased since I've had to use my upper arms so much to get in and out of cars and hoist me up from sitting, etc. So a small seat might work.

I so wish I had a bigger garden, but at this time, the small garden has proven a challenge. But hey, that's part of living, right?
