I'm being annoying and posting videos these days, mainly because I have a few that are half-decent and worth posting. Or, I assume they are? I can't watch the video right now, but I remember the text of the poem well. I LOVED it. So powerful. So glad you are performing it.

I've been performing it for a while now, but it's so difficult to get a decent video of anything! I'm not even 100% happy with this, but it's better than anything I could do with my current equipment, so yay!

I'm very behind with LJ but I'm on a catch up mission today :-) I really enjoyed this. You're so brave to get on a stage to perform and love your voice.

Thank you. It took me a long time to get to this level with knowing the words, and performance. I would say the first... ten times I did it in front on people I was disappointed. I couldn't understand why I wasn't at the level I wanted. Turns out I just needed good, old-fashioned practice!

I love compliments that include the word 'fuck'. It means they're really honest! It requires a certain level of surprise to elicit a 'fuck' out of someone ;)

Thank you for listening. It's one of my most confident pieces now. I know it really well and for ages didn't feel I was doing it justice. Turns out all I needed to do to get closer to the performing-me in my head was to just keep reciting it at events, and I became braver. This one means a lot to me.
