don't do things for other people do it for yourself

don't do things to prevent awkwardness or create awkwardness for others
do things to either let yourself have a good time.. or prevent yourself from having a miserable time

Lauren, I'm sorry, but this is getting ridiculous. You probably won't believe this but we didn't break up because of Kelly. We broke up because of problems between you and I. You have a new boyfriend now and pretty much everybody who hangs out with you last summer still hangs out with you this summer. I really wish that this whole trip thing could be cool but maybe it will be less awkward without livejournal entries about how awkward it will be.

oof, you misunderstood me completely. I know who you are, and I know Lauren knew it was you. I just called you by that instead of your name. So I really would prefer you didn't call me an idiot, but hey, I did call you an ass. So I guess we're even, even if only one of them was true.
