What that means here, where the dead walk among us while we go grocery shopping, I'm not certain. Perhaps nothing; I've never been inclined to assume that the divide

Not necessarily. But maybe we're more inclined to see, then.

Not that I'm not willing to accept the idea. Somehow it seems more likely to me, though, that it's the living who change, rather than the balance between worlds... What do you believe?

I'm all right. A little worn-out from Halloween. How are you, Blue?

Hm. Having lived with a vampire since I was twelve and been born in a family bloodline that hunts the undead, Hallowe'en has never offered any novelty to my routine.

That has to have been an exciting childhood.

It was a childhood, no more and no less.

Fair enough. So no trick-or-treating for you as a kid?

Nope. My costume wasn't that great, til I was out and about. Curses, I guess; once I hit the party I was suddenly a lot more piratey.

Did you dress up, Mr. Spock?

I did not. I had given it some consideration, though the warnings of the events of last year's curses were rather effective deterrents.

I've got a bad habit of ignoring warnings, what can I say. It wasn't so bad, though. Kinda fun.

It's a strange thing for me to find comforting.

Yeah... It's just a little strange to be surrounded by other people who accept that fact, you know? I'm used to having to prove myself on the weird stuff.

It's one of the first big adjustments most people have to make; that what they consider normal is probably not considered to be the same by 90% of the rest of the City's population.

I didn't find it all that hard to believe. My definition of normal might be a little off, though.
