My career, my life; those I loved; all casualties in the pursuit of some inexplicable explanation, a tangled web whose ephemeral strands I've sought to grasp without thought to the cost or the consequence ( Read more... )

Have you seen the Corinthian?

Ah, well. I figure someone around here has to know.

I haven't, not for a while.

She shouldn't have to suffer, while she's here.

I run City Solutions, a non-profit think tank within the City. Several doctors and scientists there are currently working on a cure for cancer or ways to operate on previously inoperable cancer.

If you can't find anyone else to help, we can get her into one of the clinical trials.

Thanks. I was hoping for something a little more deus ex machina, but I'll keep it in mind, thanks.

Though I'm not sure how thrilled she'll be about experimental treatments.

Talk to Dr. Sahl at the hospital, if anyone knows of a cure, it's her.

I think you'd be surprised at the types of clinic trials we have. They're largely untested because we have so few cancer patients to treat. And by treatments I mean that the cancer is removed in one sitting.

I will, thanks.

It's just that she's something of a skeptic-- asking her to believe that this place is real is a leap.
