Senate voting

I'm always impressed by people who number all the Senate boxes - I've always been too intimidated to try, what with all the parties I've never heard of.

I like your categorisation of three levels of evil, and how the only descriptor you need for the Christian Democratic Party is "Fred Nile".

I quite like numbering all the boxes because it feels like getting more value out of an election, rather than being done in 15 seconds. However finding out about the independents and tiny parties is necessary. I admit that in previous elections I did less research (not that I did a lot this time, but it was just enough to feel like I knew enough to choose), which may have led to some dodgy numbering. OTOH I figure that a few places up or down for some party that isn't going to get a senate seat doesn't matter that much, and isn't much different to the slight skew that might happen from preference-swaps between the parties.

I could remember that the Christian Democratic Party was pretty horrible, but I'd actually forgotten they were Nile's party. And yeah, that reminder was really all I needed to write. I can't believe I ended up ranking *five* parties as even more evil than them! Something's just wrong there.
