The capitalization of slayer(s) watcher(s)...
GRRRRRRRRR.
I want to pick a rule and stick to it, but I'm not sure which I think is right after seeing it argued both ways.
Always capitalize? Only when singular? Or like you would "Professor"...
Opinions?

I'm to capitali*s*e them (yes, I pander to my mostly American LJ audience and I will go to that special level of English hell for it), you say, oh wise one...m'kay.
P.S. You must go to www.furiae.com and visit yourself. They're calling you The Necromancer, but don't let that put you off!

Well, yes, in context. 'Giles, the Watcher, was watching them.' 'Watcher' is his title - denoting membership of the Watchers' Council - while 'watching' is what he's doing. Unless he is acting in a voyeurisitic fashion, in which case he's merely a watcher. Similiarly, with the Slayer. 'Slayer', or more properly 'Vampire Slayer', is a title that (until relatively recently) belonged only to one person in all the world. The reason they get capitals is to differentiate them from other people who could technically be doing the same thing - watching or slaying - without the same wider association. Or something.
