I really enjoyed this - it was a well-paced, relaxing read with plenty to keep me interested. I think there were two or three points where I laughed out loud - mini golf! Garcia! - and a few bits where I just went "aww."

I don't know West Wing at all, but I love CM and I'm glad Emily got to be happy for once =)

Yeah, I really enjoyed writing the mini golf, if only because it's been hilarious every time I've ever played it. And I knew before I started I wanted it to have a happy ending because I heart Emily and her angst, but sometimes I just want her to be happy. Thank you for the lovely comment!

I really liked this. I still cant bring myself to be a Kate Harper fan but the realism of this story is amazing. Two people fall in love and then real life happens. Especially two women with the jobs they have, I love how they hold it together, sometimes by the tips of their fingers. I also love Garcia in this....the coming out scene is fantastic. This was a very visual story for me, the gestures, the looks, the moods...I dont know if I am saying the words right but I really liked it.

Hee, I forgive you - thank you for reading it even though you don't like her! The coming out scene was fun to write, and I'm glad it was visual for you - I'm not always good at showing rather than telling and worry that stuff ends up being to heavy on exposition and stuff.

Yeah, you're not the only one impressed with that. I remember when we were posting summaries and everyone else had these amazing action-packed cracky summaries and mine was literally 'Um, they meet in a bar?'. I really think I'm going to have to write more (right now, I'm thinking Josh and Donna bump into Kate and Emily when they're in a grocery store buying champagne to celebrate the shiny new house they just bought).

I don't know anything about West Wing, but I really like the Kate you wrote here, and she fits perfectly to Emily :)
