Why does LJ keep giving me an 'Error' message when I try to unscreen Anonymous comments? It keeps telling me the 'URL doesn't match journal owner.' WTF ( Read more... )

"The 'memories' function hardly ever works"
I finish if I refresh the page then it works for me.

"I've been repeatedly kicked off 'logged on' status"
Lucky for me it's only happen twice to me.

I hope they fix everything soon, it's getting annoying all these errors.

LJ got hacked into big time recently. Do a google search. If things are screwy, they are doing a lot of changes to javascript, etc. right now.

According to the group that hacked into LJ (Bantown), they got into about a million journals. I wouldn't got paranoid and think they got into yours, but LJ is doing a lot of changes.

Here's a link to a Washington Post blog about the incident which was a few days ago. http://blogs.washingtonpost.com/securityfix/2006/01/account_hijacki.html

Good luck

Thanks for the link to that interesting article! I had heard that LJ got hacked, but I didn't know the details of it. I'm glad they're beefing up security measures, but of course I want to have my cake and eat it too, so I want everything to work perfectly while they're securing the site, even though I know that that's not very fair of me.

I don't really get why people would want to hack into strangers' LJs in the first place. Hacking into a bank's server to transfer funds to one's offshore account, I can understand, but LJs? What would the hacker group do, post nasty messages on the LJs to offend those LJ users' readers? It seems like a waste of time, to me.*g*
