O’Connor yanked open his iBook and he and Stevens stared at the blank screen as if it displayed the very locations of Osama Bin Laden and Black November with driving directionsI think i snorted my brain and scared the person I am staying with. Admittedly I was just in a car with a German GPS system yelling instructions such as 'einen RECHT' in a weird voice so that helped ( ... )

I would have to say that out of all of them perhaps Sark is the most, well not stable, but at least conscious of his actions.Sark is an unusually self-aware and self-possessed person because he's had to be all his life. Even when his motivations and behavior seem mysterious to those around him, I think most of those times he knows exactly what he's doing. He's calculating and fiercely intelligent about human nature, his own included ( ... )

Ah, I always forget that he is a game planner. I am not sure why I forget this but I do. Perhaps put it down to early insanity and leave it at that? It was just with everyone shooting off crazily in all directions it was interesting to actually see his somewhat subtle plays. Not to mention one must always support a stirrer of any stripe.

Well you wrote dialogue very well, as characterisation - it gives me the tingles reading it and I get that sort of 'vertigo' sensation you get when reading something that is just damn fine. Or at least I get.

No rush in replying, you have a life and must lead it first of all!

“Hey, baby? Get naked,” Wallace drawled into his cell.

Her jaw dropped in disbelief. For a moment, she imagined what her reaction would be if Sark called her up and said that. She would leap through the phone and strangle him. She would faint from lack of breath due to choking on her own vomit and outrage. She would…she would…she might even do just what he asked. Oh, God. Oh, help.

This entire part had me laughing like crazy. I loved it as always. Anxiously awaiting the dinner, why do I have a feeling Sark & Sydney won't be behaving themselves? Jack & Dixon have a mess on their hands with that group. Great work :D

Heh, Case Officer Taj Wallace puts the capital 'T' in TMI. He is incorrigible and probably should not be allowed to date for the sake of women everywhere, but alas, he's irresistible to women despite his utter depravity and jackassitude. Isn't that always the rub?*g*

why do I have a feeling Sark & Sydney won't be behaving themselves?
:D Because they're Sark and Sydney and when they're together, the world becomes a more exciting place.

Jack & Dixon have a mess on their hands with that group.Oh, yeah, definitely. Poor Jack and Dixon (well, Jack can handle anything so I don't feel as bad for him). That's what you get when you have to maintain authority and control over a group of alpha males and alpha females (yes, even Vaughn can be considered to be an alpha male) because only the best of the best can be CIA case officers. They all bring their own unique skill-sets to their jobs and are the BSOC (Big Shots On Campus), and they know it--that's why they act up so much ( ... )

Most grocery stores and stores such as Target, etc., will carry Ziploc bags large enough to fit most shoes in (unless we're talking knee-high boots). I have several. ;)

Wallace and Alvarez are pretty scary! I'm not sure what's between them but they make Sydney and Sark almost seem like a perfect partnership.
Hopefully, their partnership is starting to make Sydney realize that she could have it much worse than being partnered to Sark.

The part where Sark's invitation to Marshall's party was purposely with held from him and Sydney's shame at not having said anything almost made me cry!
Yes, it's sad and unfortunately pretty common in workplaces for outsiders to get the shaft like that. A workplace is like a microcosm of society and the outsiders, the disliked, are always treated shabbily.

It's awful, I can't imagine Sark putting up with all that for so long.He really has no choice at this point. Irina is still MIA, the Covenant has been dismantled, and his offshore accounts have been drained and the gold his father ferreted away from him returned to the Kremlin. His immunity agreement basically amounts to penal servitude and he can either work for the Agency or get a syringe of life-ending toxin in ( ... )

OMG RED.

This was fabulous.

Sark's humor was spot on, Jack was scary and yet somehow... lovable... Syd was perfectly on, what with her anger at Vaughn and then second guessing it -- I always forget that just because I don't like him as much as a character around her that it's important to be in Syd's head (and she loves him) at times like this.

Excellent, excellent job.

Also, the sunglasses and music scene at the end was very Passagesque. Nice!

Glad you enjoyed it, Ali. :)

It's so nice when Sark shows his wicked sense of humor, isn't it? We've seen from the show that he has a very sharp, wittily sarcastic tongue and I like writing that.

There would be nothing I'd like better than to have Sydney forget all about Vaughn.*eg* Unfortunately, this story actually wants to be fairly in-character. Alas, the problems of a story almost writing itself! :)

Yes, the scene at the end was my little homage to 'The Passage,' one of the best episodes ever.

Thanks for reading and feedbacking!

We don't see it much these days but I remember back in the day (when Sark had a spine and went around killing people like he was supposed to) how deliciously sarcastic he was and loving every last bit. It is so wonderful to see that reappearing.
