SARK!!!
Ahem. Okay. The instant I saw 'Special Guest Star, David Anders,' I screeched with happiness.
So they didn't show him until the last two minutes and only showed him for two seconds.
It was a glorious two seconds. The slow pan of the camera and that strut, that black suit, that back, those shoulders. I knew it had to be him. I'm very pleased he's working with Evil Uncle Arvin again and they're working against Prophet Five and Sloane is playing double agent.
That almost makes up for the return of Vaughn. Although, I have to say how very fucking pleased I am that Real!Sydney did not fucking cry when she saw him again. Their Precious Moment still made me gag. My roommate was like 'dude, cheesy! And no, I'm not talking about the enchilada I'm eating.' (It's true; he was eating a cheese enchilada smothered with more cheese.)
Amy Acker is still not convincing me playing an evil spy chick.
Anna!Sydney was pretty cool. I'm sorry to see her go. Jen Garner was actually appealing again playing Anna pretending to be Sydney. Futile I know, but I kept yelling at the screen during all the Anna!Sydney & Vaughn scenes 'Slit his throat! Shoot him in the head!' Damn it.
Ghost!Nadia was stupid. I hate that device of having someone getting (totally useless) advice from a ghost only they can see.
I really disliked how Rachel delivered her lines about being oblivious and not catching onto Sloane's machinations even though he was operating right in front of her. She went way over the top with that and it would have been much more affecting if she had said her lines more quietly and with more restraint. The latter approach, I think, would have conveyed her fear about her ability as an agent much better. Grace is just boring, boring, boring. He's giving Vaughn a run for his title as Prince Boring of Alias Kingdom. Blah.
In conclusion:
SARK!!! And the preview! Sark and Sydney working together again, yay! (I hope Sark 'accidentally' kills Vaughn and kisses Sydney during the mission*g*)
