I was wearing the Dior Homme andrygynous look in junior high: thrift shop tight black blazers, ties, my dad's old menswear vests that he got too chubby around the middle to wear, and skinny black pants. I just got made fun of then and now that look is like de rigueur for the indie rock set. Hell, I was wearing menswear ties long before fucking Avril and now I can't wear them anymore because I'll look like I admire her or something.
You know, I'm not usually a big fan of metallics, but them and the rest remind me it's been at least two months since I stopped in Forever 21. By goodness!
Dude, I totally love Forever Jailbait (tm my pal Shannon). I realized I had enough in my bank account to splurge for something at Barney's when I was there this weekend and I was going to buy a pair of Christian Louboutins with my tax refund check, but you know what? I don't even want all that shit. Give me cheap cute stuff from Forever Jailbait and Delias and a pair of old skool Reebok high tops from Zappos and I'm ridiculously content.
I like metallics...a lot. As in, I have a pair of super-shiny stiletto heeled peep toes with bows--completely in silver.
You have braver feet than I. Or perhaps just smaller? My 8 1/2 wides so rarely find a heel that will do, so I'm instead forever in search of cuter and cuter sneakers. Thank God fashion has swung my way.
And really, I think there's something way more satisfying about a bag of cheap & cute than one handful of fancy & bank-breaking.

I get my sneakers in a 7 so I have plenty of extra room in case I want to wear thick socks. My silver peep toes are a size 6 and they are super-cute but not at all comfortable, alas.
See the under-12s? I work in Beverly Hills and all the young kids mill around during lunch time dressed like they're streetwalkers. And they all drive Beemers, it's appalling. Actually, Beverly Hills is rather appalling in general.
Hehehe, alas I have never been able to wear anything that is currently in style and never will. Even if I stopped eating totally I'd still need a new bone structure that isn't quite so 'built like a brick shit house'. I have wider shoulders/back than most guys. Arse to match :P
Still there are some nice prints there and er, I definitely owned a pair of those shoes. Possibly in blue cause I might as well be terribly dressed for all decades :P
