part of me would like to continue watching Grey's if only to support the only lesbian left on primetime (that I'm aware of) but Shonda has done nothing - NOTHING - to earn my respect or my watching this show. What is there left to watch? Japril - who will probably get a happy ending? Meredith-Riggs-Maggie triangle? Jolex continuing with their same boring SL? Omelia - no thanks, not an Owen fan. Ben-Bailey? not interesting enough. Even if JCap is staying, she'll always be relegated to 2nd tier SLs.

I agree. They had their chance to have calzona break the trend and be the lesbian couple that worked out their differences and fought for the relationship. Amd actually communicate how each was feeling without guessing, then ensing the marriage because they couldnt communicate on said feelings ( ... )

It seems many people don't understand the custody Arizona offered to Callie and it is in no way what Callie's lawyer offered. Arizona told Callie she could take Sofia only for the week after which Sofia would stay with Arizona for the summer holiday and Christmas then Callie would have the school terms. The following school year Arizona would have Sofia and Callie would have her for the school holidays, then they would continue to alternate each year (unless Callie comes back to Seattle, I guess).

Thank you. I couldnt hear the full thing properly. But remember the grant was only for a year. And callie was only supossed to be gone for a year. But arizonas arrangement makes it seem like longer. Interesting what happens when it reaches 12 months

Very, very surprised Sara is leaving. She has always said she wanted to stay until the end. She used her role as Callie Torres to benefit so many. It must have come down to money and crappy storylines. Her potential was squandered by Shondaland. Of course, Sara was the consummate professional. At least I can walk away right now. I'm done with Grey's.

Sara has been singing more and has really gotten into advocacy, plus maybe she and her husband are ready to start their family. Sure, she will be 41, but many actors start their families at that age. I wish her luck and I will still be watching the show as long as JCap is there! I gave up on Calzona a long time ago, so for me, it isn't that big of transition.

I think it's great that Sara is pursuing other opportunities, whatever they may be.

BUT this was how they end her time here and the epic romance she had with Arizona? Shonda and the writers blew it. From season 9 forward, all I can ask was 'what were they thinking? ' it would appear Sara was no happier than we were.

It won't be a big transition for me either, I taped and watched eventually if I heard good things about the episode. I'm just disappointed in how this whole crappy season went and its ending.

I'm pissed. The sl in this ep. was horrible. The whole season was horrible and rough to watch for them. I don't think I've ever felt so deeply impacted by a single scene in a show ever as I was tonight. Reading on twitter right after watching the episode that SaRa had actually been written off seriously felt like a blow like finding out that a family member had died or something. No more memories could be made from their charactors outside of fanfic (which is great don't get me wrong but it's not the same). The hope for Calzona to resurface? Completely gone. The ship went straight to the bottem. I cannot believe they would end it like that. And while everyone hashtagging greysanatomy on twitter is grateful that "no one died", they don't realize that something really awesome still died. It's heartbreaking ( ... )

IA with all of this. Sara's exit was so deeply disappointing. Shonda and co. spent years (like, literally) stringing along Calzona fans in the name of drama! and thrills! and the journey! and were completely screwed over in the end. Yeah, Slexie is dead, but at least they got their ILYs.

I'm not completely sure that was Sara's decision. New boss at Abc has been cutting costs like she tried with Beckett on Castle. This feels like it was done in a hurry hence the crappy exit. And honestly I don't feel like Saras heart was in the crappy material she got all season. There has just been a missing spark to her performance.

But if I was Shonda I would have had Callie profess her love for Arizona and send them all packing to Africa. Sara and Jess take a bow. The thought that she went off with Penny makes me want to barf. I understand Jessica still had a contract but they didn't have to pick it up in June.

I'll probably still watch if they give Arizona a love interest I like. If not I'm probably out. Still think Sara might come back for series finale and get them back together. They did that with Naomi and Sam on Private Practice after they were apart for years and Naomi was off the show for years.

I agree with that. Just because jess signed for 3 years they didnt need to pick the contract up in june ( ... )

I do believe it was Sara's decision & I think Shonda has known the entire season. Why do you think Callie was placed with Penny. Why do you think Penny out of everyone won the grant to go to NY. This season has just been a poorly written set up for Sara/Callie's exit the whole time.

I get what your saying, but callie is just as talented, so why couldnt she have received a prestigious grant for her robotic limb project that woukd have taken her away. I think that would have been easier for arizona

I almost wonder if the decision was made after the wrap...I feel like there is an alternate ending out there...like Shonda wrote 2 scenes, and Sara couldn't reach a good negotiation, so that's what we got...I'm not 100% convinced this is the last we'll see of her...maybe she'll be back for an arc at the end of the series...I just hope the series ends next year...they should have ended years ago...I was expecting much better from a Shonda written episode!

I agree. I think they need to start wrapping it up. They dont want to lose anymore big players so they are forced to end. They should just go out with a bang

They will bring SaRa back as a guest star with a perfect, pretty, pregnant Penny that will need Arizona's expertise.
