I've been a bit dead on the interwebs lately, occasionally surfacing to exude podfic and forage for fic. It's due to a number of reasons. Uni, illness, EXAMS = D:

Plans for future:

Illness! D: OH NO. I'm sorry you've been ill! And that you have exams, but that is an expected evil. I've been slightly out of sync with the podficcing scene lately -- mostly as I've just started working full time again for the summer, and good lord do I ever need to adjust again. (Also because the election was so darn depressing.) We'll search exhaustedly for fic and podfic together instead, eh? <3 ( ... )

Urgh, I swear, I went home to London for Easter and it was like all the city's germs FELL UPON ME AND MADE ME THEIR BITCH. I hindsight, I probably had a chest infection, not just a sore throat, and I probably should not have recorded the podfic that I did. But it's fun to listen back the recordings and hear my deep voice, like I'm an extra from LOTR or something ( ... )

D: OH NO LONDON YOU EVIL CITY. You sounded very good in that podfic, at least! I enjoyed your voice in it. You didn't sound like you were half way to death, and that's something! BLEUGH, AND NOW IT'S COME BACK. Thankfully, though, my choir's summer concert has been and gone, so I'm not too worried anymore. I'll just go to the doctors and be like, FIX ME I'M SICK. (hrrm, I kind of felt like Arwen off LOTR while podficcing over Easter. Like how she's all breathy and recovered-smokery)

I know a lot of people find RPF a bit weird and, tbh, so did I at the beginning. I think I got into the fandom because Merlin itself was having an explosion of fic and things and it was all a bit overwhelming. RPF, by contrast, was a lot smaller and easier to handle. I think the most important thing to remember, when writing or reading, is that you are ultimately writing about characters, not real people. I don't actually know Bradley James (much to my despair), so I don't actually know what he's really like - I'm writing something that's as much a part of my imagination as any fanfiction, really. Also, I never write porn. I mean, I never do that anyway, but I don't think I'll EVER write porn for RPF. That'd be odd D ( ... )
