Since yesterday, I've remembered this one song we listened to at school and then had to translate the lyrics. Because I couldn't remember the artist or the title of the song, I asked aouda88 and she still had it somewhere. So she sent it to me.

The title of the song sounds me, but the song in fact non. Anyway, I think it's a popular song from the Spanish Civil War (well, you might know about it anyway). I had to study lot of poetry and history from those bitter days of Spain when I was at school, but it was nice somehow... :)

Actually I really liked this song and its lyrics. We did this topic for about half a year (Spanish Civil War and Franco Regime) and sometimes, our teacher came up with songs to make it more interesting for us. :D Is "coplas" some kind of "genre"? I don't remember anymore.

Well, "coplas" is just how spanish people named the poems that can be also sung. But also old people use to call all kind of songs from nowadays "coplas" :)
