This is a short little piece, not to be taken too seriously. I scribbled it out this afternoon, mostly because I'm COMPLETELY STALLED on the few other fics I'm working on and just felt like writing something, anything. The idea is shamelessly stolen from Lily Allen's video for "Smile," I can admit it.

ouch.

there's so much to be assumed in this fic: infidelities, pain on all sides of a class more subtle than three thugs in an alley. so many lines for the audience to fill in. what could drive Cesc to that? what kind of sustained emotional brutality on Joaquin's part? and then, doesn't think about what this means for them and their ruined relationship. because how does a relationship come back from that? how can it? should it, even?

possibly I am taking this too seriously. and yet, it's a fascinating, terrifying concept, and I think its brevity makes it even more so, because there is no room to explore Cesc's motivations, what could have driven him to do such a terrible, terrible thing.

You know, the one thing I really love about this fandom is that the feedback you guys leave always makes me think. You say one little thing about a fic and I end up turning it on its side to look at it from different angles. You make me think about things that never even occured to me while I was writing, and generally make me want to write more. If that makes any sense, or maybe I'm just rambling now.

oh, wow. this puts me in mind of your ruud/ronnie prostitute fic. not in storyline but just the pain that seems to permeate from the fic. was it bad that i didn't really understand what had happened the first time i read this fic

miss you too. :( we should find some time to do something. maybe during my spring break which is coming up soon. march 10-18. i'm already planning on asking time off of work. my mom's friend has a beach house on the bolivar peninsula that i was thinking about maybe going to (with permission). or driving up to austin for a day or something

Well I quit my awful job and haven't found a new one yet, so I should definitely have some free time. Just let me know what your plans are and I'm sure we can figure out a time and something to do. :)

I'll think up some prompts for you, of course. You know, I always thought we should co-write something together. I don't know what, but it occured to me a long time ago that it could be fun, and I just never mentioned it. Anyway, I'll come back once I've thought up something decent to prompt you with. Feel free to give me a prompt too! I'll do a footie pairing, or Supernatural, or heck, The Black Donnellys. Or I'll even try Heroes fic! Ha.
