Last night I received an email from Paypal that first made my blood run cold, and then made it boil over. As a seller on both Etsy.com and Ebay, I use Paypal to accept credit card payments from buyers. This is a practice that makes things convenient for the buyer and myself. That is fucking bullshit D: 21 days!? How the hell are you supposed to run a business if you can't touch a payment for 21 days? God forbid you have a spike in sales - I wonder how many accounts they freeze after the holidays.

Ugh I actually just got a Paypal debit card last month and I've been withdrawing money a lot. I REALLY hope they don't pull something like this on me. A lot of people rely on their Paypal account for their living expenses.

Out of curiousity, how much activity do you have on Ebay? Or is it mostly Etsy?

It wasn't ebay at all. All Etsy sales. I might have purchased a few supplies on ebay, always paid for them instantly. I have no issues on ebay.

The only thing that has changed on my account in the last month is that debit card, so that's where I'm placing the blame.

Have you ever withdrawn via transfer (as in transfered directly to your bank account)? I'm wondering if what triggered it was suddenly you're making withdrawls (through the debit card). Even still, that's bullshit. Why would they issue you a debit card if they were going to get all bent out of shape if you actually USED it?

I've done a few transfers, and got the card because the transfers are always a hassle. The last transfer got denied twice before it went through, for no reason. I hadn't touched the account for a couple months, given that I was saving for the move.

This is from out of nowhere but I saw you in M_stiefvater's LJ and recognized the little cutey with the steampunk goggles from copperbadge's blog. I just had to say hi since we share two blogs. Also a same interest in greek mythology since I am writing a genealogy on the greek gods. I thought it may be best to say hi here instead of on either of their comment posts. Oh hi there! No interruption at all! Yes, my lil Captain Jack is eye catching, that's for sure.
Sam's blog and Maggie's blog. great reading every day.
I'm into mythology, that's for sure. All kinds, though I do have a fondness for greek and roman since that's where I started. Fairy tales too, that' a real passion for me.
