Running, and an ipod fast

I went to the opera on Monday, and watching the dancers made me think that I want to do something with my body, something that I love, something that motivates me and makes me smile. Then on Tuesday I didn't even go to the gym because I was so afraid of my own head ( Read more... )

Amen, sister to both the body movement craving and the head escaping/need to express outwardly. I had made the decision to begin writing more, and had hesitated to, for very much the same reasons. So thanks for help giving my head voice, too.

let's just write. The worst that can happen is that no one reads it, and you still get the fun of writing, so that's not too bad, right?

Sounds like an admirable plan. Especially the part about getting your awareness back into the world as you do something good for yourself. Here's to your success - and don't forget to be nice to yourself, regardless of how quickly you meet your goals.

Sounds like a plan. My weekend hikes or snowshoes have gone from a luxury to a necessity--the thing that keeps me sane and helps me make it through the week. And I at least walk to the bus stop without the Ipod...It's nice to hear the birds, the sounds of the neighborhood waking up, just to exchange a few words of greeting with those I meet.
