I just want to preface this by saying there's no pictures. I had brought my camera and thought it'd be cool if I could take a picture or two, but the rules clearly stated that no cell phones, cameras, etc. were allowed and I didn't particularly want to get into trouble. :(

That aside, I have to say the exhibit itself was great. I don't go to ( Read more... )

They did something similar to the whole give you a persona thing in the Holocaust museum in New York. I don't remember what mine was, seeing as this was about five and a half years ago, but I'm glad to see you didn't die. Even if you somehow like knew who you were going to be though some sort of weird cosmic psychic thing, and created Christine to be almost like her. :P

I don't remember much of that exhibit (I do seem to recall some shoes or something), but I do remember them have a train car that they brought the Jewish people to the camps in, and I tried walking through it to get to the other side, and, despite it being a short walk, I could not walk all the way through. Creepy *shutter*.

At least your exhibit wasn't as weird. Sounds kind of cool, actually. I'll have to read it in its entirely once I get back from work, though. ^^;

Scratch that. The Holocaust museum is in Washington D.C., and it was about seven years ago that I went. Its freakin' six something in the morning, and all my band trips are melding together due to the time lapse, what do you expect? >.

Yeah, it's a strangely nice feeling to know that you didn't 'die'. ;) And heh, the similarities are small -- I looked it up, apparently after being forced to stay in New York for three months (due to an enquiry about the ship), she was sent back to England and discovered she was pregnant. The baby, a girl, was raised by her grandparents until she was eight, at which time she lived with her mother and her new stepfather. Apparently Kate abused her girl badly, eventually winding up in court over it. So, er, yeah...only slight similarities. :P

That would be creepy. I've never been there but I imagine the whole museum would be a little unnerving. I could understand being creeped out by something as simple as a train car.

I can confirm this exhibit wasn't as weird as that. ;) It was more intriguing than creepy.

(And I can understand mixing things up in your mind, especially given that it's early in the morning. I do it all time. >.> )
