Shortly before one (around 12:45 or so) a storm came on really quickly. It was the whole shebang: wind, thunder, lightning, and enough rain that it was running down the streets. (The dirt in our garden was also trickling down the neighbour's driveway, which was worse).

The rewrite of Essence in the Heart is progressing smoothly -- I've written the first chapter and am now typing it out. Currently I'm on the tenth page and there's still a ways to go, so I'm thinking the reqrite will be longer than the previous version.

Well, the physical was mildly awkward but it wasn't too bad. The doctor wanted bloodwork too, so off we went, back to town. That went quickly as there wasn't anyone else in the waiting room.
