Grily pregnant stuff.

I wanted to write this for my own record. I remember when i was pregnant with mitchell that the body prepares for breastfeeding early. So apart from growing twice the size, some clear stuff leaks out with a bit of pressure. I have been trying to toughen them up because i remember how much breastfeeding hurt at the start. So yesterday was the first ( Read more... )

I just think about the streams of milk when the heat of a hot shower hit your chest. And drops of milk as your trying to get dry lol.

I really dont want to make any plans. If it happenes it happens but we were both happy to have just 2. We all know things dont always go to plan right?

what do you think of women who choose not to breastfeed?

I dont look down on women who find it hard to breast feed and then give up. I only lasted 4 weeks last time. I felt relly guilty when i did. I think that all women should give it a try. Even if its for a week. It will give the baby a better start. My friend swiched to bottles recently, i did do all i can to convince her to keep going but in the end i knew it was her choice and i respect that.

Argh, I'm torn. It hurt to breastfeed Robert so I gave up after about a week. A week, *tuts at self*. On one hand I'd like Dave to get up and do a 3am feed, on the other I feel enormous pressure that I should breastfeed. :-\

When you think of the extra work and cost with formular feeding i think i would rather do the night time feeding. These are the things i will need to keep thinking when i consider giving it up lol.

I managed to breastfeed Amy for 3 months and Brianna 9 weeks. But both times my milk just disappeared and they started losing weight. When this happened with Amy I tried Maxalon tablets for about 6 weeks which was awful, so when it happened again with Brianna I just decided it wasn't worth the stress and put her straight on formula. It broke my heart but at least she was happy and gaining weight. I refused to feel guilty about it.
