I completely understand what you're saying, and I know why they did it, but that doesn't mean that anyone is obligated to like it.

It's funny how a few strategically chosen lines can make or break a character (Hermione into super Hermione, Ron into idiot Ron, etc).

I do agree with you on the whole budget thing. The thought of turning such intricate novels into perfect movies missing no details is absolutely absurd. You have to streamline movies to make them pleasant to watch and follow, and not seven hours long because you needed the include the history of everyone and everything.

I completely agree. People should just be happy that they're actually making the movies instead of complaining about minor details. It's so frustrating.

People were getting upset over that?! I loved the movie! I think you have to see it as an interpretation, rather than a duplicate, and not worry about stupid things like one liners and who they're given to!

I actually saw something about this like 2 days ago. And I totally agree with you. My major is English and even though I love books, I understand that adaptations have to be made. Plus I thought that part of the reason they gave the line to Ron was because Hermione didn't really have a huge part in the last movie. It was Ron who went into the Chamber of Secrets with Harry. I figured they just wanted to bolster her character. Not that she's not that important already, but just so no character really overshadowed another. You know?

I like the movie and the book versions. I don't really see much of difference. And the tiny difference I do see is done for good reasons. And I understand that.

But that's just my 1 and a half cents.
