Thank you for letting us know. You and your lovely mum have always been at the heart of my LJ community.
I have been re-reading the comments between her journal and mine, a thread of connection going back years now, occasionally spilling over into real life (although we never actually met). I will miss her very much.
Thank you! I recommended your LJ to her because I knew your Dorset photos would bring her a lot of pleasure, and they did. She was very admiring of the distances you walk and often asked me if I'd read your latest post.
Oh my gosh - that is such sad news Alice. Barbara and I met on Girls Own and used to team up for quizzes and so on. With a few notable exceptions such as Antonia Forest we had such similar taste in books amongst other things. We got to know each other better on Live Journal and although we never met IRL we exchanged Christmas Cards. She is one of a tiny handful of people I have continued to follow on LJ and I have always thought of her as a friend. I know how very proud she was of you and I always remember her sharing your wonderful Ho For Hoggwarts. Please accept my sincere condolences - I will be thinking of you in the coming days.
Terribly sorry to hear the news. I have always loved reading her blog and regularly tell my husband about the lady who likes cricket in England. When I discovered the blog I was so impressed that I read the whole lot - backwards! I had been intending to tell her how much her blogs meant to me. So sorry I didn't let her know. Pene D. (not a member - did write to her once as Anon.)

I never met your mum, but her lovely online presence was such a joy and a treasure. LJ will feel bereft without her.
Thank you for letting us know.
