In Desperate Need of Catharsis

I just finished my book. I cried. It was so not smut. I cried. It was the best book I've ever read. I don't usually cry at the end of books. I cried.

I love and hate books like that. You get so attached and it all seems wasted, or at the very least, confusing seeing as the characters aren't real and the story is a very small part of those ( Read more... )

I once wrote a story about this kid, a writer, who was basically a vagabond, traipsing around the country with this girl. Turned out he was actually clinically insane, and the girl was actually a character he wrote in a story and he thought she became real. It ended with him getting shock treatment therapy.

*shrug* It's the kind of thing that could happen to me with the characters I write 'cause I get all kinds of attached to them and will randomly think about their lives. Maybe I'm just a sicko.

But anyway, you being attached to characters in a book made me think of this little anecdote that I'm actually only relating in this comment because I need a break from studying about theology and the trinity and heretics (meaning you). :D

hey, you dirty rotten school skipper!!
belgarath hasn't made me cry yet, but every other emotion has been evoked: happy, sad, pissed offed, annoyed, exc. you get the gist :)
