Hobby Lobby Decision, a rebuttal

Jul 15, 2014 12:13

kinkysmart has a post about the Hobby Lobby decision which needed a more thoughtful and nuanced response than could be achieved in the limited amount of space in the comments section.

I'll go through his post and offer my thoughts.

Enough said.

BTW, I am not a sinner because I do not believe in sin, heaven or hell. Take that to your imaginary friend in the sky.

Ironic that you claim to not believe in sin when "sin" is in your username. Or maybe that isn't so much an irony as evidence of your lack of self-awareness? How can you be a master of something you claim not to believe in?

*shrug* I still offer my sincerest wish that God will bless you and offer you the guidance and insight you so desperately are crying out for, as evidenced by your expressions of impotent rage. You're clearly consumed by unhappiness, insecurity, and anger. (I can recognize those flaws, for I struggle with them myself.)

You obviously do not understand corporation personhood. You should really stop listening to Faux news.

"We grant corporations the status of "personhood" mainly so that companies can go on existing long after the person or people who founded them are dead." Um, no. Read up on Corporations in Business 101. Personhood was a ploy.

I honestly don't know who you think you are but you are not welcome.

You could've spent your time elucidating me on how and why I'm wrong -- you know, laying out an actual argument -- but instead, all you chose to do was attack, demean, and denigrate. Good job! You're one of the people who do all you can to make our country a toxic, divisive place. Congratulations! You're part of the problem when it comes to the lack of civility we're currently experiencing. I was trying to lay out a logical argument. All you've done is come onto my blog, call me names, denigrate my beliefs -- or what you perceive my beliefs to be -- and then huff away. How very brave, open -- and dare I suggest --"tolerant" of you. Again, good job ( ... )

"...but you are not welcome."

Hahaha. You told me I'm not welcome on my own blog. I think you forget who's the host and who's the guest here. No matter... you're still welcome, even if you wouldn't extend me the same courtesy.
