The viewing is tomorrow afternoon. The funeral is on Monday afternoon. Work is a chaotic disaster and I'm expected to work all day tomorrow and Saturday. So much for avoiding the dreaded 4am wide-awake moment. I fell asleep just before 11 and bam! I rolled over and there was the clock blinking out 3:45 AM. Sigh. Maybe it was just the alcohol on Saturday and knowing I had two very adorable sleepy people to admire in the morning on Monday that let me sleep soundly before. Unbelievably tired/vaguely sick today. Woke up at 8:30! Then regretted it intensely and crawled back to bed for 10ish then noon and now 3;30. I'd be more upset if I didn't have the day off tomorrow, but since today's plans were 1)sleeping 2)writing 3)watching movies 4)maybe going to Sanctuary, I think I can still get some things accomplished.

Mom's birthday today. I took her out for brunch and bought her the book she wanted. Sad that no one else was making a fuss of her at home. C'mon brothers of mine! How hard is it to take your mom out for a $20 meal? Or buy her flowers or books or CDs or just make a big fuss out of her ( Read more... )

The crafty knee gods only pretended to ignore me. By the time I got to work yesterday, the ache had set in. Even now my knee is gently throbbing.
