Coworkers and facebook

I love my coworkers I really do. I don't mind the getting picked on constantly at work for whatever reason...ok well maybe sometimes it grates on my nerves. But oh how I wish I never added one I work with on my facebook. Anything I post fandom related that is me being me, who I am, I am a fangirl.. she constantly puts "You need to get a grown up

Oy. I get so tired of people, even well-meaning people, feeling free to define what "life" should be for other folks, as if we all need, want and like the same things.

I don't Facebook, but is there maybe an option to filter your entries, like there is here at LJ, so that if you don't want certain folks seeing a particular entry, they can be excluded from seeing that specific entry?

Well said! I feel like I should post exactly what you've said here in so much words to fb. Do I go and "attack" people because they like football? No, I don't like football but I'm not going to tell u oh u are childish for liking it. ect. ect.. FB isn't as good as LJ to exclude the people u don't want on there... I cant even click on a 'slashy' photo or anything cause everyone will be able to see what i "Liked"... I wouldn't stay on FB if I didn't have so many friends on there. ... Did I tell u her husband likes Stargate? She says all the time You and hubby like "stupid stargate"..... not cool. She's just uncooth and not a cruel person but just not very educated sshe says really "dumb" things.

Wow, this lady sounds pretty intolerant of anything that she, herself, isn't interested in. I've got one of those in my life, too, so I feel for you. ::hugs:: She sounds rather tone deaf to her effect on other people, so being blunt might be the only thing that'd work with her. I hope you can find some way to filter her at FB!

Thank you! HUGS YOU BACK I really appreciate ur kind words and support. honestly? She found out it was my anniversary yesterday and she gave me a shoulder massage for like 10 min.. She just doesn't realize her effect on people.
