I was chatting with bluestocking79 over whether the boys had a kitchen table, in the context of writing a fic. This lead, as you do, to a full scale obsession on my part with the layout of the flat

Yes, that's right. Down the hall and to the left. With Vince.
I suspect (based on the pilot) that they have either twin beds or bunk beds in that room (until they figure out they are a couple and move them together, that is). :o)
In the Party episode, they move the barrier next to the fridge and give that room a double door. But the room Howard walks in and out of is Naboo's room. I attribute this to Vince spending so much time primping and getting ready that Howard just grabs his stuff and changes in Naboo's room to stay out of the way.
I should point out, one of the other things that inspired this ridiculous effort was trying to figure out once and for all whether or not Vince and Howard shared a room because so many fanfics have conflicting scenarios and I wanted a clear picture for my own stories, at the very least.
Y'know, someone else asked me that too. Since Bollo is Naboo's familiar, I'm going to assume they sleep in the same room. Or maybe Bollo sleeps on the couch. I just don't see him having his own room, ya know? And of course, we know Naboo doesn't have overnight guests...
This is ace; I've always loved the Boosh flat (oh so stylish) but could never actually figure out for the life of me how on Earth it all fit together. The camera seems to make it look bigger than it actually is, so when there's an exterior shot, the little voice in my head is like "How does all that fit in there?!" Nice work!
It's amazing how much they fit into that space, yeah? I know there's camera trickery involved, but it does feel like an actual small London flat once you've done the panorama.
And someone in post-production has even gone to great pains to make sure the view out the windows matches the buildings seen from the outside. They really took great care with the continuity.
My Boosh obsession started about 2 years ago, but I never bring it up on the podcast. Though if you listen carefully, I did do a slight Hitcher impersonation when talking about Snarky the owl in episode 40. :D
Strange combination? Isn't that something of a proclivity among Boosh fans?
I remember registering that while listening now and thinking... naaaah :-)
To add to the odd combo - have you read Linda Berdoll's Pride & Prejudice sequels (given your journal theme)? I'd tried Emma Tennant's before and they put me off sequels for a long time, but I think Linda Berdoll has all the best elements of fanfiction in her books (one being smut, another being humour!). I like to rave about them to Austen fans with an open mind :-) Come to think about it I've not researched Austen fics online, and visions of mpreg Bingley are now assaulting my imagination :-D
I've not read any Pride & Prejudice sequels. I retooled my LJ theme after reading Pride & Prejudice and Zombies two years ago and haven't been arsed to update it since. I'd welcome a link!

Where does Bollo sleep? I know we never really got any insight to that on the show, but he has to stay somewhere...

I'm hoping it will help me develop the mental muscles to conduct a structural equation model for my dissertation. :o)
