I thought it was pretty cool-- I also liked the computerized 3-D model of the Capitol building. But I was amused by the reaction on Wonkette:

i think it looks like shit, and as shitty as it looks, it's expensive to boot. over *40* HD cameras just to pull this thing off. we don't get CNN or MSNBC in HD until early december, so we watched the returns on plain ol' NBC. they couldn't even make their greenscreen stuff look right, and that's technology that's as old as the hills! "virtual correspondents" are a long way from being ready for prime-time.
