Congratulations in the nomination, and you're spot on about eurydice72! Too bad plot bunnies have minds of their own...

Thanks, pet! I'm in total awe of Eurydice. She does so much for the fandom with the awards sites, she writes like a true professional, and keeps writing, AND she has time to mother two kids! Superwoman.

Plot bunnies - humph. This one isn't so much aplot bunny as a whisper-a-vague-idea bunny. But still it has me interested :)

I seem to have missed that story, but congrats anyway!

I think the muse comes because you can't do anything about it, which why mine comes when driving (or when putting together a report yesterday...)

Hee. It was a weird one - an OC of all things, but Spike was there too, and being a little bit bad. I seem to have got the bug for the OC, judging by the current bunny. The muse does tend to call when you least want him, doesn't he. It's been bugging me all day, to the point I'm now all behind on the stupid slide kits. Half me thinks give in and write the story catch up with the work later - who needs sleep? Half of me thinks it'll wait. I'm all afeared it might slip away, though, it's been so long.

How was the invigilating? Did you get to thwack anyone over the knuckles for cheating, or hurl them out of the exam room?

BTW - is your icon shareable? I could use that...

My bunny was an OC too, but no Spike. ::shudder, gasp::

Take some notes - even if you can't get the whole thing down? I have forgotten so many goods ideas, that why I'm permamently glued to a notepad. Of course, then the muse visits half way up the motorway.

No one misbehaved sadly. I got a free lunch and was paid to play Heroes of Might and Magic for four hours!

NO SPIKE???!!! Is there a story like that? Whoa...

I have been doing notes, or trying to - the notes just lure me to write more. I've got 2,500 words of notes, it seems...

Maybe you should get yourself a dictaphone/voice recorder jobbie for the car; then you can make verbal notes while you drive along. Just be careful what you're thinking of - the Spikemuse can be very distracting :)

Heh! Sounds like a fair deal. Although a certain degree of ruler thwaking may have been fun.

Congratulations on the nom and the muse slinking embarrassedly back.

I've been learning how to make PowerPoints - I now know why so many of them are so vile.

Thanks! The muse didn't so much slink as grab me by the throat and yell "ME!ME!ME!" in my face. 'Course, he'll be sulking again when his time comes...

PowerPoints can be vile. I spend a great deal of my life telling clinicians that just because you CAN use loads of clever animations and weird and wonderful transitions, doesn't mean you SHOULD. K.I.S.S. really applies. Mind you - some PPts are vile no matter what you do because the subject is so bloody dull. Like this one. Which is why I'm leaping on emails as soon as they arrive and writing reams more than I should because I am so DAMN BORED!!!!

Ahem.

Sorry.

I can realte to the boredom - I should be marking timed exam questions: "Writing to persuade, argue or advise". I love my Year 11 class, but it's desperately dull.

I'm doing the ECDL, mainly because it's the only way the school will provide me with training in the bits of Office that I don't know. I've passed mosules in Word, Excel, general computer knowhow and use of the Internet (no HTML needed) and gained my basic level certificate. Silly, as Excel was the only one I actually needed to learn something new for. Now we're doing PowerPoint and after that we get to do databases, which are almost totally a closed book to me.

It's quite fun competing to make the vilest slides, with weird animations and things waving about in crazy patterns. I have demonstrated that I am quick to learn how to make slides almost unusable.

I hate, with a passion, the sort of talks when people read aloud what is on the slides and hand out photocopied sheets with copies of the slides on too. We get far too many of those.

Congratulations! And good luck. And yay for the muse! Even if it's not a bunny you wanted. I totally understand, as I was working on what was to be a smallish fic last night. Heh. Yeah...not so smallish in scope now.

Thank you! I guess any bunny is a good bunny after a bunnyfamine, but I'm not convinced this one has legs. Or even a fluffy tail.

Hee! The standalones that refuse to stand alone. Great fun. The one good thing about being without time is that ficlets tend to be just that and don't get the chance to mutate into epics. Good luck with yours. I'm sure it'll be wonderful - your muse is amazing!

Hmm...amazing? I don't know about that. I'd call him pushy. Always wanting more, never satisfied with the short fics. *sigh* But I do love him. *g*

But I do love him.

As do we all. There's a lot to love him for :D

Don't let him bully you too much, though. Handcuff him to the bed if he gets too pushy.

Mmmmmmmmmm...............
