You seem to think that just because your dreams are shared they aren't your own. I think you need to question this thought more vigorously. Some things are better when they are shared.

Also, have you considered that you haven't lost the dreams of your youth, but merely realized they were always shared?

Hmmm, I suppose in some respects your right. It doesn't seem fitting, however, for it to be my dream when instead of simply sharing it with others I'm sharing in it with others. The mode of the dream and it's creation are not my own. I think what it boils down to is that right now I don't really have any friends nearby and, in addition, am aching for some D&D.

You just need to get your complete lack of self-consciousness back. Don't think about whether your dreams are great compared to others or what someone else would think of them. Live them, use them, and to Hell with the rest of the world. Those with the most beloved stories are often the most batshit loco, after all.

As much as you like to be alone, you're a very social person. You need a solid group of friends to stimulate your imagination and creativity. Think about taking a class or finding a D&D group.

If I were less honest, I'd say "visit your Mom," but that's not really the kind of social interaction I'm talking about. :)
