Natural Beauty by Volks

A slew of photos of a Volks EB Beauty Natural 27cm doll. If I remember correctly, this is a B-type. The head is one of the blank anime heads with the very pointy nose [VS-06]. I'll get around to painting it some day! The wig, which I think is rather charming, is actually a Who's That Girl? Boyfriend wig [WTG-MW02-M2 ( Read more... )

You're right, those bodies seem much better than the male bodies they make! It's a shame.

I like the picture of her in the egg chair.

I'm not so sure about the normal EB bodies. They're more articulated (3 part torso with waist) but I don't think they look as nice. I also think they wouldn't be as stable if you put a Pullip head on them.

Ta! It took me absolutely ages to find that chair - the first time I saw a pic of it and fell in love it had (naturally) been discontinued. We don't get any of the cool Fashion Fever or Gloria or other good 1/6th furniture imported into the UK, which is immensely irritating. Usually the only place you can find it is on eBay.com and places always charge you an arm and a leg to post it to the UK. I wonder about people who charge you $24 to post an $8 toy desk. WTF? :-P

I know what you mean! Shipping from Canada is genuinely expensive though, especially shipping within Canada! Ever small packet I've sent or had sent within Canada costed $9-$10. Even for something like one rement box :o!

that's a really nice body, it's great that she can stand on her own
and this egg chair is from Bratz, isn't it? Bratz dolls have some great furniture

I buy those Tesco doll fashions too cos the shoes are bigger and they fit dolls with bigger feet :)
and shipping... for instance our retarded post office has flate rate for international shipping, and if I'd like to send you a package it costs at least $17 no matter if it's a little bit of dust from under my bed or one kilo of eggs... but then again Americans probably have much more choices when it comes to shipping services

It's pretty good. Not as stable as a CY Girl, but eons ahead of Barbie!

It's Bratz? I ended up getting it secondhand (I swapped a rarish CY Girl head for it), so it didn't come with packaging. Mostly I'd seen it in other people's dioramas but when asked they said it was sold out.

Yes, Tesco's clothes are nice and cheap and reasonable quality for the price (especially when you get them on sale!) and the shoes fit my Takara Jenny dolls nicely. BTW if you ever want me to get some for you just drop me a line and tell me what to look out for. :-)

Ouch. I should stop whinging now. You defintitely got the worst deal! :-P
