Book # 1 for = Done
I just read The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett.
Umm .. it took me about 3 hours or so to read it.
And it was one of the best books I've read in a while.
I'm currently working through a list of "classic" books, that you should read before you die.

I spent all of Sat. reading (and finishing) 1984. It was so good. Around the end I'm like screaming "What the hell is 'Room 101'?" and then "OH MY GOD!! Why would they do that in Room 101!"
These two new books you recommended are going to be next; after 'The Painted Bird', 'Brave New World', 'Inferno', and 'Alice in Wonderland'.
I love bookstores. I love libraries more. (They're much quieter, and more peaceful. And you're not pressured into spending money on the books.)
