Sorry, Pirates 3 sucked. I wanted it to be good, the effects and what-not were cool, but with no story to tie it together, it sucked.

I agree - generally it sucked - the action scenes were awesome, but the story was like Disney gave the writers a room full of crack and said go write us a movie. I had hopes it would connect to the 2nd somewhat better than it did, but alas thrown into the midst of the story yet again. And how long to they plan on beating this horse anyway. =P

WHAT WHAT WHAT?!?!

I have to agree with Pete (amazing, I know!) ;) I really liked it, not just the awesome action scenes, but the story, too. I loved the idea they used about getting into & out of Davy Jones's Locker & felt that they gave you an ending that wasn't Disney-like & happy. It was kinda sad, kinda romantic & not at all what I expected.

What didn't you like about the story? I thought it was interesting & it really made me want to play D&D. Honestly, it may just be my fave of the trilogy!

Well, the main thing I hated was the pointless 40-minute battle at the end with the marriage ceremony. Other than that, it was just the boring parts I hated. I agree, some good action and effects, the story just seemed kinda thin. Even the weird Capt. Jack watching the moving rocks scene was kind of longer than it needed to be.

It could have been better, that's my gripe. (and I was bored for most of it)

LONGEST MOVIE EVER. I think I aged 10 years.

I agree! The only thing that would have made it longer was if they went back to the shire to reunite with their families. And then Spielberg didn't know what to do with the robot so he made 8 more endings and put them all together.

Yeah, they should have just ended it with them looking at the blue fairy.

;-)

Honestly, didn't feel that long to me. But then again, I liked the wedding scene, too. HEY! I AM a girl, you know... :D
